The airmail rate to any country in South America was ten cents per half ounce from November 1, 1946 through June 30, 1961.
A cover mailed to Uruguay in 1956.
Postcards did not have their own airmail rates until June 1, 1954. This post card was sent to the U.S. Embassy in LaPaz, Bolivia in 1949.
