This cover was sent by surface mail from Honolulu on August 4, 1942 and was registered for some amount over $5.00 but not over $25.00. The combination of fee and postage was twenty-one cents.
There is also a possiblity that the cover was double weight with first step indemnity. There is probably no way to know for sure with any such franking unless there is a notation somewhere on the envelope as to the value of the contents.
