The Five-cent Prexie
International Post Card Use
The international surface postcard rate was five cents from August 1, 1958 until July 1, 1961. The five cent Liberty series Monroe had been issued in 1954, and the Prexie Monroe was not issued after that time, but some supplies of it must have been left at the FPO office in Japan as late as 1961, when this QSL card was sent to England.
